Sydney City Rubbish Delivers Supplies to RFS

rubbish removal in Sydney

The fantastic members and community of Bondi Surf Club have come together over the past week, and donated a huge amount of supplies for bushfire hit communities in southern New South Wales.

Bondi Surf Club reached out to other surf clubs down the coast, who then referred BSC to the local Rural Fire Service and other community groups.

The groups sent requests for water, food, clothing, snacks, toiletries and equipment such as generators for the fire hit communities.

The Surf Club members and larger community responded in phenomenal fashion, with a huge amount of donations flowing in, showing the power of community effort.

Once the supplies came in, a number of people and companies, including Sydney City Rubbish, donated vehicles and drove the supplies to the communities in need.

Sydney City Rubbish drove a truckload of much needed snacks, toiletries and water to Bredbo. Bredbo currently sits between two major fires, with others burning nearby.

The two fires either side of Bredbo are roughly 30,000 hectares in size, and are out of control. It’s a dire situation.

The Rural Fire Service and people in that region need our support, and thankfully communities throughout the state, and the country, are coming together to help.
